A PEEK AT THE WEEK
This week we will start a new unit called “My Name is Special and So Am I.” We will be doing many fun activities to learn about ourselves and each other, as well as focusing on learning how to spell and print our own name and the names of our friends. To help with this we will learn a cheer, graph the number of letters in our name, and make two books to read with you. It will be a busy week full of learning and fun.

CLASS BOOKS
Sometime soon you will find a special classroom book in your child’s backpack. We make several of these books throughout the year. We are happy to share these wonderful classroom books with you, but request that you return them the following school day. We want to pass it on to another family to enjoy! All classroom books are marked Return next school day and have special work from all the students in our class.


WE ARE OFF TO A GREAT START
It is exciting getting to know all these special children. I hope everyone is feeling comfortable and welcomed in our room. The children are so gentle and thoughtful to each other. I am so proud of them! I hope to call each of you this week or next to check if all is going well.
