workshop.

Tuesday, November 9 –We begin a new unit, learning about our families. Each student will make a picture of their family and write a story about them. These beautiful family portraits will decorate our hall. I hope you check them out at conferences. Our high frequency word for the week is can. We will make symmetry pictures for math.

Wednesday, November 10 –We will graph the number of people in our family by creating a colorful glyph. I am looking forward to meeting with you at conferences after school.

Thursday, November 11 – We will make a book using our high frequency word. Conferences run from 3:15 to 8:15 after school.

Friday, November 12 –No School

Boys and Girls - Grab your bobby socks and leather coats, roll up your blue jeans, slick back your hair or wear a pony tail! Come to school dressed in your favorite 50’s style. We plan to celebrate this day by focusing on math. I have several fun math activities planned. And of course, we will top off the day by having a sock hop!
