A PEEK AT THE WEEK
What a strange week we had last week—late starts and no school really mixed up our days. So this week we are making up lessons from last week and including new lessons about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and our new president! As we learn about Martin Luther King Jr., we will discuss ways we can show we care for each other. We will talk about being kind, being fair, and showing respect to everyone. It again will be a busy week.
January 26, from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. is Family Fun Night! We look forward to playing lots of games with you. We are excited to have you visit our room! There will be many fun events throughout the school for your family. Among them, Ms. Pearson will be hosting a dance class in the music room. More information will soon be sent home. The evening will end with ice cream being served in the gym. I hope you can make it!
February kicks off “I Love to Read” month. A letter was sent home inviting you to read to our class. If possible, I hope you can participate in this fun activity.
OUR YEAR IS HALF OVER
January 19 marked the end of the second quarter. I can hardly believe that the school year is half over. I am very proud of all the steps the children have taken. It is amazing to me to see how much they have improved and developed their skills. Report cards will be sent out on January 26th. Thank you for all the support you have given your child. What a wonderful gift to give them!
I00 DAYS OF SCHOOL
Our 100th day of school is quickly approaching. Plans are being made to celebrate this special day.
